GENERAL ORDERS. General orders issued from Headquarters yesterday, include the following announcements:— Captain A. A. Corrigan, Fifth Wellington Rifles, has qualified for tho rank of major. The undormentjoncd officers of the Royal N.Z. Artillery have been reposted as follow-.—Captain Herbert Edward Pilkington, from Auckland to Canterbury; Captain Murray Menzies Gard'ner, from Otago to Wellington; Captain George Edward Benson Mickle, from Wellington to Auckland; and Captain. Sydney George Sandlo, from Canterbury to Otago. Captain George Edward Benson Mickle, R.N.Z.A., adjutant Wellington Division, N.Z.G.A., has been appointed adjutant to the Auckland" Division, New Zealand Garrison Artillery.
Captain A. F.- Roberts,' B Battery, New Zealand Field Artillery (Dunedin), has been .seconded to temporarily command F Battory, New Zealand Field Artillery (Napier). i
It is expected that the District Defence Office- Staff will transfer to Palmerston North, the new headquarters, on Monday next,
