Tho census returns make tho population of Victoria 1,315,000, as against 1,301,341 at the census of 1901, an increase of 113,659. The population of Melbourne ond suburbs (within a Tadius of ten miles from the General Post Office) is 591,830. Tho figures have yet to be checked.
