» • H.M.S. INFLEXIBLE DAMAGED. By Teleeraptt—Press Association— Copyrleht London, May 28. • When returning from manoeuvres, the battleship Bellerophon, 18,600 tons, and the cruiser Inflexible, 17,250 tons, collided at Portland. The impact was considerable, and a seven-foot hole was made in the Inflexbow. The water-tight doors and collision-mats' werr> quickly brought into use, the crews oi both warships showing groat discipline. This certainly averted a disaster. GERMAN NAVY LEAGUE. e MORE CRUISERS ADVOCATED. By TeleEraph—Press Association-Oopyvteht (Reo. May 29, 11.10 p.m.) Berlin, May 29; The membership of the German Navy League now totals 1,03-4,98". ■ At its annual meeting tho league unanimously adopted a resolution advocating the building of a third armoured cruiser annually until 1917. The president, Grand Admiral von Koester, stated that Great Britain had forty armoured cruisers, and of those twentynine had a speed of 23 knots or upward, while tho slowest, with a speed of 21 knots, would take fifth place in the German Navy.
