Considerable interest is being evincod in a matter that came lieforo the Otago Acclimatisation Society at its last meeting. A constable who visited the lagoon at Lauder nvors that, while in hiding, he saw paradise ducks shot, and, on going forward, ho found that three members of the Gamo Committee of the society wero the offenders. Tho three members concerned deny tho accusation. Tho society has sent tho matter back to tho police for further information.
