DORSET MEN BEYOND THE SEAS.
At a well-represented meeting held in Wellington on May 2j, (he following resolution was unanimously . carried:— "That a New Zealand Dorset Men Beyond tho Seas Society bo formed, and that wo apply (o thn Society of Dorset Men in Ixindon for affiliation." The following officers wore elected: —President, Mr. A. M. Smith (Dorchester), Island Bay, AYcllingtons vice-presidents, Messrs. T. A. B. Maskew (Dorchester), G.P.0., Christeliurch; Lt.-C'ol. A. Hume, J.P. (Portland), Harbour View, Wellington! F. Cmniiig (Gilliiisliiti"), Gcorjto Street, Duncdin; -W. S. Williams (Bcaminster), lit. Eden, Auckland. Hon. secretary: Mr. J. P. A'lkins (Wimborne),. Fe'atherston Str-cet,. Wellington.' Assistant lion.. secretary, Mr. I l '. Williams (Dorchester),,. G.P.0., Wellington. The following committee was appointed to draft,rules, objects, ' etc..,'of'the society:—The president, Messrs. Tho*. Kcavc. F. Williams,, H.S. Moore, the Rev. C. Mutter, and the secretary.. The secretary was instructed (o ' write tho London Society anil obtain year books for distribution amongst the New Zealand members.
