" o'clock yesterday morning, tin Fire Brigade received a cull to No. tl3 Nairn Street, a dwelling owned bv Mr. F. Tver, of Palmerston North, and occupied by Mr. W. C. Burge as a board--iiighouse. A lighted candle set lire (c tlio curtains in one of the bedrooms, and tlio contents of that room were damaged to. some extent before (he flames wire suppressed. The furniture was insured in Ihe Suu Oflieo for XITS.
