A CORRESPONDENT'S LETTER. (By Telegraph-Special Correspondent.! Hastings, May 22. H. Lan Simson lias notified his intention of issuing a writ for libel against, Gcorgo Nelson, and also against tho proprietors of the "Havke's Bay Tribune. This action, it is stated, is an outcome of the recent election for Iho Hawkc's Bay River Board.- Mr. Simton was a candidate, and, during the conte.st, made certain statements regarding tho part which Mr. Nelson wnfi taking in tho contest. These were replied lo by Mr. Nelson in a vigorous letter in "Tho Tribune." Tho statements contained in that letter will provide tho subject matter for the proposed action.
