SCOTS REGIMENT PROPOSED. The fiery cross has gone forth—tho Scots are up in arms because the authorities wish to cover up their in trousers in lieu of kilts. To combat this move a Kilts Defence League lias beenformed in AVellington, and it has convened a. meeting to lie held in Godber's Rooms on Monday evening next. Tho chief business of that meeting will be— "To devise a scheme to place before tho Minister for the retention of tho kilt, and the formation of a Scottish regiment or brigade in the New Zealand Defeneo Force."
