FINDING IN KNYVETT CASE.
CONFIRMATORY MESSAGE. ■ (By Telegraph —Press Association.) Auckland, May 17,, It is understood that the finding of the court-martial in tlio Knyvett case has reached die Acting-Minister for Defence (the Hon. Geo. I'owlds), but 'it is yet to bo placed in flio hands of the Governor before details are made public. It is believed, however, that the Court found ex-Captain Knyvctt guilty, and confirmed tho sentence- of dismissal. In connection with the Knyvett case, and a recent similar one in Tnrannki, it is understood that tho General Officer Commanding tho New Zealand Forces (Major-General Godley) considering (ho previous oxcellent records of theso officers, will be prepared to recommend favourable, consideration to an application by either or both of them to bo posted on tho reserve of officers provided that such applications are accompanied by nuipl'o apology for tho retraction of tho letters written or instigated by them.
