M'Ewen, which took place at Taita Umieten- yesterday afternoon, was largely attended, anil many floral tributes were sent from all parts of the district. Last evening at the Petono Wesley Church (of which the deceased was a prominent member), an "In Mcmoriain Ecrvice was A.''meeting of all ratepayers opposed to the Httlt Vallev Tramway Hoard s tuml loan proposal will be held in St. tine's Hall, Polonc, to-morrow niglit. _ The funeral of th« lato Mrs. D. Kwr, of Petono, whose death occurred on Fndav, took place at the Taila Cemetery yoiterday. The cortege was a very large one. .
