TROUBLE IN ALASKA.
New York, May 12. Tho steamer Edith has arrived at Cordova, Alaska, where an enraged mob recently threw into the harbour hundreds of tons of Canadian coal, as a protest against the non-Eettlcment of the Alaskan coal lands cases. The Edith brings a cargo of Canadian coal. A largo force of sheriff's deputies preserved order.
