A NEW COMPETITOR
CHINESE PRODUCE IN LONDON. By Telegraph-Press Association- Copyrishl. London, May 11. A steamer has arrived afc Liverpool from China with a cargo including 10,000 carcasses of pork, 72,000 cases of frozen goods, 10,000 cases of lard, and 1000 cases of eggs. Tho first shipment of frozen pigs from China, arrived in London by the' P. and O. liner Palermo on August 2, 1909. It consisted of i 603 carcasses. Since that date shipments of frozen produce, including povk. eggs, poultry, and other articles have been mado from China to Great Britain at irregular intervals. Some of tho earlier consignments of pork were condemned by tho -port health authorities as the carcasses had not been cut up in accordance with the Board of Trade regulations. The death occurred at Te Ore Ore yesterday morning of Mrs. Manihcra, a well-known Nativo of the district. A big tangi will take place. MOTOR-CARS AT ENGLISH PRICES.
