Delivering judgment in the Industrial Court, Judge Heydon declared that rents and prices had continued to increase during tho past three years. The cost of living must be regulated by tv living wage, below which wages must not fall and above which that' of skilled labour rose. HARVESTER STRIKE ENDS. Melbourne, May 11. Tho harvester works strikers decided, by 709 votes to 211, to return to work. Tho proprietors will engage as many as possible. FINED FOR MOVING HIS OWN GOODS. Melbourne, May 11. A man was fined n. shilling for removing his own furniture after 7.30 o'clock in tho evening in contravention of the Factories Act. which states that nothing must bo carted after that time.
