' LORD GLADSTONE WELCOMED. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Eec. May 11, 10.30 p.m.) London, May 11. Letsie, the paramount chief of Basutoland, and a thousand Basutoa gave the Governor-General, Lord Gladstone/an ovation on his arrival at Maseru, the capital of the protectorate.
Letsie declared that the Basuto people would enter the Union without misgiving when the King saw fit.
