UNIFORM LAWS NEEDED. By Telegraph—Press Association-Copyright (Rec. May 11, 10.30 p.m.) London, May 11. The Royal Colonial Institute's Empire Trade and Industry Committee has resolved that, in view of the grave anxiety felt regarding the effects of reciprocity between Canada and the United States, the Imperial Conference should re-discuss the question of the uniformity of treaty obligations within the Empire, also consider the growing importance of a uniform company law, owing to the increasing tendency of British firms to establish oversea branches, and the increasing popularity of Empire investments.
