SAVINGS BANK THEFTS.
CLERK EMBEZZLES JCGOOO. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Sydney, May 9. Edward Hall, accountant at the Scone Branch of the Savings Bank, pleaded guilty in the Police Court to-day to charges of embezzlement, falsification of books, and documents, and forgery. The total deficiency is JE'6'ooo, covering two hundred different embezzlements, and affecting one hundred accounts. The embezzlements have extended over a period of seven years. ■ The accused was committed for trial.
