WELSH MINING DISPUTE.
ARBITRATION DECLINED. By Teletraph—Press Association—OoDyricht (Rec. May 3, 9.30 p.m.) London, May 3. The coal owners of South Wales have declined the Miners' Federation's proposal that the Cambrian dispute be referred to arbitration, on the ground that this is opposed to the fundamental principle of tho Conciliation Board. The owners have agreed to a conference of four members from each side to consider a settlement of the dispute.
