The returns of the arrivals o£ persons at and the departures from the jjort of Auckland for the month of April show that the arrivals numbered OH persons, this beiiiß 238 more than the number recorded in April of 1910. Tho departures reached a -total of IGSG persons, showing an excess over arrivals of 712. Last year tho departures for April exceeded the arrivals "by 723, tho respectiw figures uimcs 131)8 and C7(i. Tho totnl returns for Hit, , first four months of the present year «how that dlSl persons arrived at Auckland, and that 57!)8 left this port, the departures thus showing an excess of 1017. The figures for the corresponding period of last year tojd a belter story, although the balance Vas in favour of the departures. The arrivals were 3SBH and the departures 4591, the excess of people leaving being 702, or 915 less than the excess for the past four months. The number of people leaving the port during the past few months has of course been much greater Mian usual on account of the Coronation, which takes place on June 22.
