BISHOP-ELECT OF AUCKLAND.
TO BE CONSECRATED TO-DAY. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) Auckland, April 23. Archdeacon Crosslov, the Anglican Bishop-elect of Auckland, accompanied hy Mrs. Crosslcy, arrived from Sydney last evening by the steamer Maheno. They wore welcomed by the Bishop's commissary (Archdeacon Calder), Canon Mac Murray, the Hon. E. llitcholson, and Mr. C. J. Tiinks (representing the Standing Committee of the diocese). The consecration ceremony takes place at 10.30 to-morrow in St. Mary's Cathed-* ml. The Acting-Primate (the Bishop of Christch.fch) will conduct the service, and will be assisted' in the act of consecration by the Bishops of Waiapu and Nelson, and Bishop Williams. Hie Bishop of Wniapu will be .the preacher. The newly-consecrated bishop will bo enthroned to-morrow evening by tho commissary, and will then preach his first sermon.
