FIRE IN A MINE. By Teleeraph—Press Association—Copyright London, April 19. Through the firing of an clcctric cable at the Pinkton colliery, Lancashire, the woodwork at the bottom of the shaft became ignited, causing a deiue smoke. There were many thrilling escapes. The 400 men at work in the mine were rescued.
