Messrs. Dalgcty and Co.. Ltd., report on their Palmcrston sale yesterday as follows—A fair entry of sheep came forward and a good entry of ca.tt.le. Mixed-age ewes, t 0 7= 7d.; we.uicr heifers, to £2: store cows" 375. to £2 18s.; empty cows, £3"to £3 55.; forward do., £4 to £4 9s. 6d.; cows and calves, to £4 65.; empty heifers, to £3 165.; hulls, 355. to'£3 10s.; light, fat cows, £5 4s. to £5 lCs. (Palmcrston branch), report;-Yesterday wo offered a fair yarding of sheep, consisting principally of inferior ewe?, which were bought for boiling-down purposes at prices ranging from 3s. 6d. to 4s. sd. Other lines of mixed-age, ewes in lamb made from ss. 6d to 6=. 6d.: forward lambs, 6s. 4ii. to 6s. 6d.; six-tooth to f.m. ewes in lamb, 9s. 9d.; forward cows, £4 to £4 55.; fat cows, £5 to £5 10s.; store cows, £2 to £3 Is.; cows and calves, £4 fe. 6d.; weaner steers, 225. Ed.; mixed weaners, 17s. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agcncy Company. Ltd., report as follows:— At Palmcrston on Thursday a fair entry of cattle was yarded, the greater portion of which changed hands._ Only one pen of sheep came forward. We quote:—Sheep: Cull two and four-tooth ewes, 9s. 3d.
