ELECTIONS IN OTHER TOWNS.

(By Telegraph.—Special Correspondent.} Pahiatua, April 19. Mr. W. W. M'Cardle, tho present Mayor, and Mr. A. Weston were nominated for thq Mayoralty. Only the number required were nominated for the council. ■ Masterton, April 19. There are four nominations in the Wairarapa district for the Wellington Harbour Board elections:—Messrs. C. E. Daniell'(Masterton), J. CV Ewington (Masterton), A. M'Parlane (Pahiatua), and 1\ B. Lowe (Eketalnma). - 1 Palmerston, April 19. Twenty-three candidates have been nominated for the Borough Council election on Wednesday next. Six of the present councillors are offering themselves for reelection, Messrs. Clausen, Palmer, and Hewett having decided to retire from civic life. The present Mayor, Mr.,, J. A. Nasli, was the only noininaiion for tho Mayoralty,'and he was declared re-elected. This is tho third occasion on which Mr. Nash has been returned as mayor of the town unopposed, and ho was heartily congratulated, it being a record, so far as Palinerston is concerned. Wanganui, April 19. Mr. John Jones was to-day re-elected Mayor of Wanganui East unopposed. There are ten candidates for eight seats on tho council. Carterton, April 19. In response to a numerously-signed requisition, Mr: 1?. feist was to-day nominated for tho position of mayor of Carterton, and his being the only nomination, he was declared elected. Messrs. W. J. Berrill, J. Callister, G. Hughan, T. H. Hughes, J. Freddy, B. Roberts, W. E. J. Stevens, C. J. Smith, and AV. H. Whyte were nominated for nine vacancies on the council, and were elected unopposed. Levin, April 19. There were fourteen nominations for tho nine vacancies on the Levin Borough Council, thus necessitating a poll. Mr. B. R. Gardener was re-elected mayor, there being no other nominations. Mr. Gardener was also declared elected as tho borough's , representative on the Foxton Harbour Board.

Greyfown, April 19. The number of nominations for the Borough Council not exceeding the required number, the following nave been declared-(Inly elected:—Messrs. A. Coe, H. Haigh, F. S." Hayes, T. G. Hayman, T. E. Kempton, J. E. Raison, H. Trotraan, Hart Udy, and A. L. Webster. Messrs. Brimton and Rogers retired. There only being one. nomination for the mayoralty, Mr. Loasby has again been declared mayor of Greytown. The. number of nominations for trustees for the Town Lands Trust not exceeding tho required numbers, Messrs. S. Haigh and D. P. Loasby have been declared elected.
