CHAMBER OF COMMERCE OFFICERS.
ELECTION" FOE 1911-12. At a meeting of tho council of the 'Wellington Chamber of Commerce, held yeslerday afternoon, Mr. H. C. Tewsley was re-elected president, and Mr. Gcorgo Wilson vice-president for the ensuing year, both without opposition. The following committees were elected:— Hemp Committee—Messrs. A. E. Mabia (convener), G. F. Johnston. J. Macintosh, A. 11. Miles, J. J. Jicich, Geo. Shirtclifl'e, and E. W. Waterhouse. Dairy Produce Exporters' Committee— Messrs. J. G. Rarknes-s (convener), W. H. Evatt, J. 13. MaeEwan, F. N. B. Meadow.*, J. J. Eeich, A. L. Hunt, nnd 0. Shirtcliffo. Trade Terms Committee—Messrs. W. G. Duthie (convener). W. Allan, W. D. Lees, H. C. Tewsley, A. H. Turubull, A. A. Corrigaii, and A. E. Donne.
Legislation Committee—Messrs. H. C. Towsley (convener), .T. G. W. Aitkon, A. de B. Brandon, M. Myers, D. .T. Nathan, \V. J. Bridson, and E. G. Pilcher.
Mr. Carroll was re-appoiuteti actingsecretary. Applications' have been received for the position of secretary from men of wide commercial experience, and from these an appointment will probably be made shortly. Mr. Carroll will remain in the service of tho Chamber as* assistant-secretary.
