MORMONS ATTACKED.
RIOTING AT BIRKENHEAD. CROWD PELTS THE POLICE. By Telegraph—Press Association-Copyright (Eec. April 18, 0.40 a.m.) London, April 17. The Rector of Heywood, headed a deputation from the Men's Bible Class to the Mormon missionaries, and required them to leave the town, threatening that they would be tarred and feathered if they did not go. The, Mormons agreed to leave. Tho Mormons nt Birkenhead . refused to accept an angry crowd's ultimatum, and were attacked. The police arrested five rioters. The crowd pelted the police with stones and mud. Several were injured.
