DRAUGHTS CHAMPIONSHIP.
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) Duncdin, April 15. Tho Australasian Draughts Championship began yesterday. U-esults: —W. Penman, Dominion champion, 2 wins 2 drawa against C. Erickson, Wellington; J. A. boreham, Duuedin, 2 wins against V. Morris, Invercargill; liilliktr, Dunodin, 2 wins 2 draws against V, Campbell, lnvereargill. Duncdin, April 16. The competition for the Australasian Draughts Championship was continued yesterday. Boreliam, tho present Australasian champion, won 4 games against Morris (Invercargill). A keen contest took place between Brodic (Duncdin) and Egan (Victorian champion). Tho former won the first game, the second game was drawn, and the third was won by Egan, This game lasted three hour*, Egan getting tho upper hand towards the finish. The contest between Hillikcr and V. Campbell resulted in 2 wins for Uillikcr and 2 draws. Penman won 2 games off Erickson, "and 2 were drawn.
