LABOUR SHORTAGE IN NEW SOUTH WALES.
COMMISSION TO BE APPOINTED. (By Telegraph-Press Association Copyrieht! Sydney, April 12. Mr. Holman, State- Attorney-Gerwral and Acting-Premier, states that the alleged shortage of labour applies only to some trades. He admitted there was a shortage in the building and- manufacturing industries. The Government was prepared to appoint a commission to ascertain tho actual facts and how they can be met by industrial and educational reform. For financial reasons, Mr. Holman said, an advanced immigration policy would be left to the Federal Government. Mr. Fisher (the Federal Prime Minister) will discuss the immigration (luestion while in England.
