NEW ZEALAND BREEDERS' SUCCESSES. By TeleeraDh—Press Aasociation-OoDyricht (Rcc. April 11, 8.55 p.m.) Sydney, April 11. The Royal Agricultural Society's show opened to-day in fine weather, and with a big attendance. The official opening will take place to-morrow.. .. . In nearly every department the entries show large increases over those of last year. The products section is particularly fine, as the result of an exceptionally good season. The exhibits include a remarkable collection from Messrs. Prevost Brothers of 1020 distinct varieties of produce grown on a single farm in the Mossvalc district. The championship in tho class for blood stallions was awarded to Mr. Hosskisson's Sir Aymer, with . Mr. Crick's Collarit as second and reserved champion. Collarit also won a special prize. The champion mare was Mr. Seaton's Blue Flyer." '."•-'■ Other awards in the horse classes were as follow: —Trotters: Champion stallion, Mr. Playfair's Ribbonwood. Coachers: Champion stallion, Mr. Charley's Brigadier. Roadster hackney: Champion stallion, Mr. Hordern's Gartonius. New Zealand was well represented in the Clydesdale section. In the class for mares, four years and over, Mr. John Boag's Gipsy Queen took second prize; in marcs three years and under four, Mr. M'Carron's Union Queen was second, and Mr. John Grant's Kelso Mag third. Mr. Grant's Flower was third in the class for fillies, and Mr. Boag's Greta of Wostbourne was given second place as an active farm mare. . In the Clydesdale stallions, heavy, three years, Mr. John Boag's Royal Conqueror was awarded second prize, and the same owner's-Favourite third prize. In sheep, Sir- John Nixon, of Killinchy, Canterbury, swept the board for English Leicesters, taking' firsts and champions for two-year rams and ewes; first for.rams under two; first and second for ewes under two. Mi , . J. B. Reid, of Elderslie, Oaniaru, was awarded first prize for two-year Border Leicester rams, and Mr. Nixon second; for rams under two years, Mr. Reid was first and Mr. Nixon third; for ewes, two years, Mr. Nixon was second; and for ewes under two, Mr. Reid first and champion, and Mr. Nixori second and reserve, and Mr. Reid third. In Romney Marsh rams, Mr. Reid secured third prize, and for ewes under two years a first prize.
