SYDNEY'S FINANCES.
OVER FIFTY MILLIONS OF RATEABLE PROPERTY. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyricrht ■ (Rec. April 11, 11 p.m.) Sydney, April 11. A financial report presented to the City Council shows that Sydney's rateable property at the end of last year was valued at £52,142,000, an increase of £1,193,000 over the figures for the previous year. The city revenue increased by over £35,000, and the expenditure by £49,000. The city's electric lighting service yielded a net profit of £24,712.
