A MISSING MAIL-BAG.

It is reported that a bag of registered letters, the contents being valued at over thirty thousand pounds, is missing at the General Post Office. It was dispatched from Melbourne on Wednesday last, and should have arrived at midday on Thursday, but had not been received up to last night. A strict search is proceeding. FOUND AT BRISBANE. (Rec. April 9, 5.5 p.m.) Sydney, April 8. The missing mail-bag has been discovered at Brisbane, where it had been forwarded by a mistake.
