Next niornin? a third unsuccessful attempt was made, and on April 3 (he Knight, of St. George loft for Auckland, leaving (ho Uovcric's position unchanged. It. is considered that probably a portion of the reef is peiiefratinj; 'the ttovcrie-!, hull, and Hint she will havo to be considerably lightened before c he can be floated.
The Knight of St. George suffered soma flight damage while endeavouring to null the Eovenc off,
