Messrs. Dalgety and Co. report having held their usual fortnightly sale at liketahuna on Friday, April Y. Prices for sheep Svere about tho same as late rates, bidding under the hammer being good. A few clients advertised their stock thinking rain would fall before this sale, and naturally we . did not yard stock up to advertieeu numbers. However, we managed to quit our wholo yarding, except one pen of cows and . calves. Quotations—Two and fourtooth ewes, lCs. 3d. to lis. 5d.; f.f.m. ewes, to 10s. Id.; f.m. owes, Bs. 2d.; two-tooth wethers, lite. 9d.; mixed woolly lambs. 7s. sd. to Bs. Id.; mixed shorn lamb 3 (poor sorts), 3s. 9d., 4s. 3d., to 6s. 5d.; Lincoln rams. 1 guinea. Cattle: Store cows, £2 15s. to £3 55.; cows and calves, £4 55.; weaners, 305.; bulls, to £3. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd. (Feilding branch) report for the week ending April 7 as follows :-At Eangiwahia on Tuesday we had a fair entry of both sheep, and cattle. Bidding for sheep was not brisk, but all cattle sold at auction, at fair values. Wo quote :-Cull lamb 6, 2s/6d.; medium lambs, 6s'.;s.m. ewes, 45.; eightcen-months empty heifers, £2.185. to £3. Is.; fifteen-months steers,. £2 18s.; two and a half-year steers, £5. At Kimboltdn, on Wednesday, a good yarding of sheep came forward, but few Cattlo.', Sheep were dull at auction, but.we effected'practically a clearance after tho sale. We Quote:—Good ewe lambs.
