At an inquest on Charles M'lnman a prisoner who died suddenly in gaol, the evidence showed that death resulted from (lie effect of an over-distended stomach on •the heart, which was affected by fatty degeneration. The prisoner, who wa's employed in the kitchen, was n heavy eator. His weight increased 211b. in about eight wreks in gaol. After onioving a good tea he fell back in his cell o.nd died immediately. A verdict of death from natural causes was returned.
