SENIOR PENNANTS WON BY WELLINGTON CLUB. The feature of Saturday afternoon's play was the play-olf of the tie between Welliugtou and Newtown. This was won somewhat easily by Wellington, after some good games played on the Wellington and Newtown greens, the Wellington representatives aggregating 94 points to their opponents' 76. The Wellington Club already held the senior pennant, so the old flag remains where it was for another year. The closest struggle was between Bell (Wellington) and Prince (Newtown) on the Newtown green, the veteran skip of Wellington South defeating his nian after a great game by two points. The Newtown Club won the final of tho junior pennants after a most exciting game, played on the Wellington Club's green. The teams were 21 all on tho last head, and an extra head had to be played. Kelbnrne lay tho shot when Underwood, the Newtown skip, had one bowl to play. Ho played a magnificent shot, which crept up close to the jo;cl; and gave his team the victory, and his club the pennant. A good attendance of ladies and visitors partook of the club's hospitality.
