RECORD CUSTOMS REVENUE.
AUSTRALIAN PROSPERITY. By Telegraph—Pres3 Association-Copyrieht (Rec. April 3, 0.45 a.m.) Melbourne, April 3. The Customs an 3 Excise revenue for the nine months of the fiscal year ending on June 30, totals .£9,856,463, an increase of ,£1,100,000 over the same period of last year.' If the same ratio of increase is continued until the end of the year the revenue will reach over 13 millions, which will bo far in advance of any previous year. For March alone the increase was .£190,000. The Prime Minister, Mr. Fisher, in his Budget speech in October, estimated the Customs increase for the year at only .£IBO,OOO. STATE REVENUE RETURNS. Sydney, April 1. The State revenue for the past nine months shows an increase of .£325,300, though the month of March showed a decrease of ,£283,000. Melbourne, April 1. The revenue for the nine months increased by .£527,278. . Perth, April 1. The revenue for the- nine months exceeded the expenditure by .£182,000.
