(Before Mr. W. G. Eiddell, S.M.) MAINTENANCE. Arthui Lewis Maguire was charged, on the information of his wife, with attempting to leave the Dominion so as to cvado payments duo under a maintenance order tor the support of his wife and two children. Complainant also filed an application asking that defendant be ordered to nnd security for due compliance with the oider. Mr, P. jy. Jackson, who appeared for comp amant, stated that he was not then ready to go on with tho charge of attempting to leave the Dominion, but ho would bo willing to withdraw the information u defendant were ordered to find security Mr. A. Dunn, for defendant suggested that £50 should be sufficient security, but tho magistrate ordered that security be found in the sum of .£BO and two sureties of .£4O each. Pending the finding of the sureties bail was refused Ine charge of attempting to leave- the Dominion was withdrawn by leave of the VAGRANCY. Susan M'Laughlin pleaded guilty to a charge or drunkeni.ess and to a further charge ot being u rogue and a vagabond with insufficient lawful means of support. Accused announced her willingness to enter tho Salvation Army Homo for a term. On the first charge she wa* order ed to go to the Salvation Armv Home for six months, and on the second she was convicted nnd ordered to come un for sentence when calkd on, tho magistrate reminding her that she was liable to a term of one year's imprisonment on that charge if she left the home. Robert Pobar. who admitted bcin-* an idle an -J disorderly person without sufficient lawful means of support, was sentenced to three months' imprisonment, INSOBRIETY. One first-offfluding inebriate, who dirt l.ot appear, was ordered to forfeit his bail of 10s. or undergo 21 hours' imprison-
