CENTRAL MISSION.
SUNDAY SCHOOL ANNIVERSARY* The anniversary of tho Central-Mission Sunday School was celebrated yesterday. In the morning the liev. E. 0. Ulamiros gave an address on "Gideon" at the Herbert Street Hall, 'and in the afternoon Mr. W. Howe, superintendent of the primary department gave a model sandtablo demonstration, which proved of great. interest to the parents. At • tho King's , ' Theatre in ilie evening the Rev. Mr. Eismires delivered an address based on the'text, "One of these Little Ones." Children were described by .the preacher as belonging to the Kingddmof'God. They shared in the redemption of Jesus Christ. ■\Vhere, ho asked, were the infants who died? . Christ put light.on the question when ho said concerning children, "Of such is the Kingdom of Heaven." It was an abominable belief that thcro were, babes in Hell, a belief which had been held at ono'time, but which had no support in the teachings of-Christ. As belonging tp the Kingdom of God, the children were a charge great responsibility upon their guardians. The jewels of Christ had to. bo put through the polishing process, and the importance of the work demanded-an association with the Great Master or the result would bo marred jewels • and imperfect - workmanship. The'singina by the , children under tho direction of Mr. Hoive was excellent. The soloists were Messrs. Wilfin and Bennett, Misses IToulder, Gnrner, Carlson, Hurrell,. ITnswprth. and Bolton, -and Messrs. Barber and HoWe.
