TWO REASONS.
EDUCATION AND POLITICS. "Tho political questions to-day are becoming such as to require a very close and logical examination," said Mr. do B. Brandon, chairman of the College Governors, yesterday at the hoard meeting, "and wo want to prepare hoys from the Wellington College to he, perhaps, members of Parliament, and we want them to bo worthy representatives of tho college. Therefore, wo want to (rive (hem sifch a general education as will enable them to speak and write what they want to so that other people can understand what they mean, or (with a spice of humour) perhaps lo bo able to so put their words together, designedly, that no one shall he able to know what thev mean." (Laughter.)
