MAIL LINERS AT HOBART.
RUMOURED CHANGES. By Telcgraph-Pre.9B Association-Oopyrielit London, March 30. Tho "Standard of Empire's". Hobart correspondent reports that tho announcement that tho mail steamers will cease calling at Hohart applies to 1912. Tho Orient Company states that its steamers will call 'there in 1912. The Peninsular and Oriental Compauy knows nothing of the reported discontinuance.' The local superintendent of ..tho P. and 0. Company nt'Sydney, stated a-few days ago that the company's liners would probably discontinue calling at Hobart for the reason that tho extended service to New Zealand during tho summer months niado tho stoppage inconvenient.
