LOSS OF YONGALA.
SEARCH STILL FRUITLESS. By Tclecrapli—Press Association-Oopyrieht (Rcc. April 1, 0.30 a.m.) Brisbane, March 31. No further traces of tho Yongala havo been discovered. The search steamers aro still out, and tho Tarcoola is expected to-morrow after an extended search. Tho locality of the supposed wreck is considered tho most dangerous on tho Queensland coast, and is said to bo insufficiently lighted. Tho Mayor of Brisbane has called a public meeting for Tuesday to inaugurate a scheme of practical sympathy with those bereaved by the wreck. The Governor, Sir William Macgregor, has forwarded a message of sympathy to the Mayor, enclosing a chequefor £10 towards the fund.
NOTHING DEFINITE. Brisbane, March 31. Thero is nothing definite to report in regard to tho loss of tho Adelaide Steamship Company's stoamcr Yongala. A movement is afloat hero to start a Yongala widows' and orphans' fund.
