THE PRICE OF MILK.
■ 'AN .INCREASE IN DUNEDIN. . (By Telegraph—Press Association.) Dunedln, March 31. A_ meeting of the Dairymen's Association was held to-night, to consider the question of revising tho tariff for milk, this action being necessitated by tho prolonged spell of dry weather. It was stated that the conditions had never before been so unfavourable for dairying, the drought, and consequent shortage of pasture and water for stock, being unprecedented. Tho following tariff will come into operation on May I:—Half-pint, ljd.; pint, 2Jd.; pint and a' half, 3Jd.; quart, 4id.; over a quart, 4d. per quart; two gallons or jver, Is. per gallon. These prices are ihe, highest in the history of tho association.
