IRONWORKERS' WAGES RAISED. By Telegraph-Press Association-OopyrieW (Rec. March 30, 9.25 p.m.) Melbourne, March 30. Tho Ironworkers' Society, which recently demanded an all-round increase of a shilling a day in wages, has had a conference with tho employers which has resulted in an amicable arrangement. The city employees arc to receivo an advance of sixpence a day, and lh« country employees, who have been receiving less than (he ruling rates, will be given an advance of from two shillings to half-a-crown daily. SECTIONAL HOLIDAYS. (Rec. March 30, 9.25 p.m.) Sydney, March 30. Tho Industrial Court has ruled that a sectional trades holiday is not a publio holiday. The ruling is the outcome of a claim that men kept working during the building trades' annual celebration were eutitled to overtime pay.
