GARRISON OFFICERS' CLUB.
ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Wellington Garrison Officers' Club was held at the Club Boom, Garrison Hall, last evening. Colonel E. W. C. Chaytor, Officer Commanding the District, presided over a largo attendance of members. The animal report and balancc-sheet (previously published in The Dominion) were read and adopted, and the following officers were elected for tho ensuing term:— Patron, his Excellency the Governor, Lord Islington; president, Major-General A. J. Go<lley, C.8., Commandant of the New Zealand- Forces; secretary, Lieut. Wilkinson; treasurer, Lieut. H. Hawthorne; librarian, Captain D. J. Gibbs; auditor, Captain F. G. Hume; committee,. Major F. J. Courtney, Major C. 11. Turner, Major C. D. Mackintosh, Captains J. A. Cowles, G. S. Richardson, F. G. Itoache, J. Hutchen, and A. A. Corrigan. Major-General A. J. Godley. C.8., G. 0.0., Colonel E. S. Heard, D.M.T., Lieut.-Col-onel T. Burnett-Stuart, D.M.0., Capt. W. C. Spencer-Smith, Staff Officer to the G.0.C., .Captain H. H. Urowne, Lieut. M'Quarrie, and Hon. Lieut. Silver were elected to the membership of the club. Votes of thanks were accorded to the retiring officers. Captain S. V. Trask, the retiring secretary, was unable lo again accept office, in consequence of the transfer of district headquarters to Palmerston. It was decided to hold a garrison ball during tho coming season.
