ALBERTA MINING TROUBLE. By Telegraph—Press Association-Copyrieht Ottawa, March 26. The men employed at sixteen mines in Southern Alberta and British Columbia have voted in favour of a strike, to commence on May 1. STRIKES IN FRANCE. Paris, March 26. Replying to an inquiry, the chairman of tho Chamber of Commerce has informed the Government that it is not desirablo to "hold an international exhibition in the near future, owing to the impos : sibility of relying on workmen for .the fulfilment of contracts, in view of the frequehey of suddeu strikes.
