HEMP EXPORT DECREASING.
, RISE AND FALL IN PRICES. ■ # Recently the' liemp market took' n jump'at as high as £17 155., and lasted at that for a week, but sinco the beginning of this week prices havo talced a turn ' for_tho worse, and , have fallen to £16 15s. for good-fair. Fair is los. Jess. . Tho output has fallen off rather heaviily. This is due to tho low prices causing some of tho mills to close down. The closing down is chiefly in tho Auckland province, and in Southland. 'Hm Wellington output has not decreased so heavily.
