MOTOR CYCLE ACCIDENT.

!A YOUNG MAN'S DEATH. (By Teleeraph.-Pross Association.) Christchurch, March 24. Wesley M'Kinney, son of Mr. M'Kinney, of New Bright-oii, met with a fatal accident at the Bank of _ Now Zealand corner to-day. Ho was riding over the' crossing 011 a motor cyclo at 8.45 a.m., and tried to pass a. furniture wagon belonging to tlio New Zealand Express Co. When ho was level with the wagon 0110 of his wheels skidded 011 tlio tramway line. Tho other wheel struck tlio hind leg of 0110 of tho horses and M'Kinney was thrown off the machine. His head camo violently into contact with tlio rails, and 110 sustained a fracture of tlio skull. Ho was taken to tho hospital, wlicro 110 died shortly_ before 3 p.m. Those who saw tho accident state that both tlio cyclist and tho driver of tho van were 011 their right side, and that tho accident was caused by tho wheel skidding on tho tramway line.
