Percy Baxter appeared on remand for sentence'on a charge of theft of a suit of clothes, valued at Xd, the property of T. G. Turntull. He was convicted and ordered to pay the value of tho suit (X 4), in default seven days' imprisonment. Mr. H. F.' O'Leary appeared for accused, who was allowed 24 hours in which to find the money,

On the amilication oi' Chief -Detective Brobers accused was remanded until March 29. ilr. V. R. Meredith iippenml for accused, who was admitted to hail in the sum of ~£sO, and two sureties of Jj.'j caeh, or 0110 of .£SO. One first-ollending inebriate, who did not. appear, was ordered to forfeit his bail (10s.) or undergo -1 hours 'imprisonment. • JPVENII/n COURT. A lad, 10 years of ape, appeared before Mr. W. G. Riddell, S.M., in the Juvenile Court yesterday morning, charged i, itli the theft of a quantity of coal, valued at 35., the property of Samuel Brown. The lad was discharged with a caution.
