LODGE MEETINGS.

The Excelsior Lodge of Druids, No. 11, held its fortnightly meeting in the Druids' Hall, Taranaki Street, on Monday evening, Bro. J. Withers, Arch Druid, presiding. Officers and members from the Pacific, Coronation, Melrose, Star of New Zealand, Island Bay, Pride of Brooklyn, I'onsonby, Stonehenge (Masterton), Holly Lodge, and Bro. Pender (Hibernian) were present as visitors. I'.D.P. Bro. .T. Flanagan, P.D.P. Bro. J. Laughton, P.D.P. Bro. J. Crombie, I'.D.P. Bro. C. D. Hargreaves, P.D.P. Bro.. J. Johnston were also in attendance. District President' Bro. W. Allen attended the lodge to instal Bro. L. Boock into his new office as District President for. the No. 2 district. After the usual business of tho lodge the company adjourned for a "pound social" in honour of Bro. Boock's installation. Various toast 9 were honoured, and a programme of music gono through. Bro. L. Boock was presented with a gold emblem for his services during three terms as A.D. of Excelsior Lodge. The presentation was made by Bro. J. Johnston, P.D.P., who, with Bros. F. Jennings, C. D. Hargreaves, Crombie, and Allen, spoko of tho recipient's excellent rccord. Tho contributors to tho programme were: Bros. Kerr, Benge, Hargreaves, Johnston, G. Lachlan, R,. A. Black. Tho accompaniments were played by Bros. A. J. Wicks, Timmings, and E. J. King. Pioneer Lodge, No. 11, 1.01 G.T., held its weekly meeting in tho Rechnbite Chambers, Manners Street, .on Monday evening, Bro. H. J. Millan, C.T., presiding over a good attendance of members and visitors. Bro. Gus Petherick was deputed to represent tho lodge at tho Temperance Convention, which is to bo held at Palmerston on Easter Monday. The sale of fruit and flowers resulted in the Harmony Committeo's funds being considerably augmented. -V hearty vote of thanks to visitors was carried by acclamation. Next week's programme will bo "Song and Book Party •> Prizes; Bro.-and Sis. Millan.
