In order to solve the question of th( admissibility of certain statements whict Seukovitch, the Hussion accused of mur dering his companion Eismond at Bourki last year, made to the police ill Mol bourne, the prisoner went into the box and speaking through an interpreter eaic he had made the statements because hi thought that, as in Russia, he must an swer the policeman or be imprisoned. In reply to another question he declar ed that he did not believe in the exist ence of God.
