1 RESULT OF ENDURANCE TEST. ' (By TcCegrA'pli.—Special Correspondent.) Feilding, March 22. Messrs. Woollatt (an advocate of the nut diet) and Beaumont, who eats whatever comes along, are amateur pedestrians who had a walking contest last year over a 45-mile course from Feilding to Marton, via Sandon and Bulls. This was won by Mr. Beaumont, but to-day they again "tried conclusions in a similar contest. Mr. Woollatt started at 6 a.m., reached Sandon (10 miles) at 7.38 a.m., Bulls (13J miles) at 8.1 a.m., Marton (22J miles) at 10.2; Bulls <3tJ miles) at 11.44; Sandon (35 miles) at 12.30; and Feilding (full distance) at 2.31 p.m. The journey thus occupied Bhrs. 31min. Mr. Beaumont left at 7 a.m. He reached Satidon at 8.35 a.m., Bulls at 9.20 a.m., Marton at 11.13 a.m., and Bulls at 1.5 p.m. At Bulls on the why home Mr. Woollatt led by 21min.' Mr. Beaumont was out of condition, and was not' able to finish, and a mile this side ,of Sandon, ho threw up the contest, and lay down. A motor-car was engaged to take him back to tho Sandon Hotel, and he was driven homo later.
