ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL.
Y..M.C.A. HOTS' CLVB. The annual meeting of Hie Y.JI.C.A. Hoys' Department Football Club held on Saturday evening. Mr. 51. Matheson presided over a large attendance of player.-. Mr. 51abin, lion, secretary, in reading tho fourth annual report, staled that the past season had been the most in the history of the club, and that they had put up a record as far as Association football was concerned, winning the fourth, fifth A and filth Ti championships, being runners-up in tho sixth and winning the fourth class Charity Cup, thus capturing four out of Ove cups open for competition in the boy.s divisions, which everyone would grant was a fine performance. II: was a noteworthy fact that the three championship teams were never defeated. Seven members of the fifth division teams gained representative honours, viz., Home, Aiekin, Walker, Nicol. and Bates in the Otago team, and Nimmo and Tullelt iu the Blenheim team. Ninety odd players signed on. during tbc season, this constituting a elub record. Medals for good service were awarded to B. Mabin, fourth A. B. Nimmo fourth B, K. Xicol fifth A, - S. Swennsen fifth B, C. Fiefcig fifth C, D. Perry sixth. During the year the club's fifth class coach had tlie honour of picking a challenge team against fho touring team for Otago. Officers elected for the ensuing season were as follow:—President, sfr. Worboys (rc-clected); vice-presidents, Messrs. A. P. Shorney, P. C. Atkinson, H. W. Conner, E. Timperly, J. C. Port, H. HallKenny, J. H. Barker, H. Yeoman; hon. secretary and treasurer, B. Mabin; management committee', Messrs. Hibbard, Bosher, and Nimmo; Selection Committees, fourth caxs, Hibbard, Temperton, and Bosher; fifth class, Conner, Worth, and Henderson. Messrs. Ryan and Mears were elected to take charge of the fourth fifth and sixth class teams rcsnectively. Mr. G. W. Adair, who is now resident in Auckland, v.'as elected an hon. life member of the club, in recognition of past services as coach and founder of the' club. Mr. Adair is the first to have this honour in connection with the club. Before the close of the meeting a motion was carried unanimously thanking Mr. A. Williams, hon. secretary cf (he W.F.A., for his unfailing courtesy and help during the past season. It was decided to begin practice nest Saturday. .
